I Want to Know You: Chapter 1

[Location: Lakeside Town, morning]

Arthur: Marriage ceremonies are truly beautiful, aren’t they? You are sure to find people smiling, wherever you happen to look.

Akira: You’re right. I’m glad to see that the bride and the groom are looking so happy.

Akira: If my parents were to be the ones deciding whom I should marry, I think I’d be anxious…

Akira: I can’t help but wonder how the couple must feel about this marriage.

Arthur: I understand your feelings. Be that as it may, marrying someone you don’t know well leaves you with a lot of things to learn about them…

Arthur: Shifting our perspective in that way makes us feel more positive, wouldn’t you agree?

Akira: Thinking about it that way really does make my heart throb.

Arthur: I feel that way towards each and every encounter, not only with regards to marriage.

What Arthur said caused me to look back on the day when I first met everyone.

Akira: (Yeah, back then, I couldn’t feel anything but anxiety… But by getting to know everyone, the Wizards’ Manor was transformed into a place where I can now be at ease.)

Suddenly, a smile formed on Arthur’s lips, and he touched my cheek with his gentle palm.

Arthur: You have a flower petal sticking to your cheek.

Akira: Ah, it probably got stuck there earlier, when Rutile, Chloe, and I played with the petals blown by the wind…

Arthur: Ahaha. I could hear your voices all the way from here.

Arthur: The first time we met, I would have never imagined that you might have such an innocent side to you.

Akira: Hahaha… Sorry you had to see me being so childish.

Arthur: Please don’t apologize. If anything, I’m happy that I got to know you better.

Arthur: May I have the privilege of seeing more sides of you that I have yet to see?

Akira: Of course! I’m looking forward to seeing more sides of you, too.
