Akira: Alright, I’ll wear this one today!

This morning, the sky is as clear and blue as it can be. I chose a special outfit that should fit my mood for today.

Akira: (The outfits Chloe made are all special to me, it’s always hard to choose which one to wear…)

I slid my arms into the sleeve. I laugh bitterly at myself for worrying about what should be a blessing.

Chloe is an aspiring tailor. I think the countless clothes he made for me all have first-rate design and are comfortable to wear.

‘Aspiring’ as he might say, to me Chloe is already a full-fledged tailor who can receive clothing orders.

However, when I once expressed my feelings, the humble and hardworking Chloe only became embarrassed and grinned, saying that he’s still a tailor in training.

I finished changing my clothes lost in thoughts when I suddenly heard a knock on my door.

Cain: Akira, can I have a few seconds?

Akira: Cain? Sure, just a moment, please.

I opened the door, and high-fived him like usual.

Cain: Oh, Chloe made that outfit, right? It looks great on you, Master Sage. Yeah, you look great even today.

Akira: Ahaha, thank you! I’ll be sure to thank Chloe too. So, is something the matter?

Cain: Yeah, I have something to talk about...

Cain: I might leave the manor for a few days.

Akira: Did something happen? We have no urgent request as of now, so I think it’ll be fine….

Cain: You don’t have to worry. My hometown is preparing for a festival, and I gotta lend a hand.

Akira: Hometown? Will there be a festival in the City of Glory? If I’m not mistaken, there was also a festival during the last time I visited….

Cain: Haha, we sure have lots of festivals. Though this one is even more special. It’s a festival to wish for good harvest and prosperity.

I have never heard of such a thing, so I asked him about it without thinking.

Cain: You know how the crop yields are decreasing in many areas because of < the Great Calamity? >

Cain: That’s why the people in my hometown came to me, said they want to make this festival even merrier this year.

Cain: I, too, want to help to the best of my ability.

???: Hohoho. Seems that you are having a quite fascinating discussion.

???: Mind if we join?

Akira: (This voice…)

Akira: Snow, White, where are you?

Snow and White: Here!

Along with their voice, they came peeking from the door that has been kept open.

White: Cain. Let us be of help to your hometown’s festival.

Cain and Akira: …’Help’?

 

[Location: Manor’s lounge]

Rutile: Master Snow, Master White, what is it that you wanted to discuss?

Riquet: Could it be a new mission?

Snow and White brought us to the lounge, while asking the other four wizards that we encountered on the way to join us.

Snow: One could call it a mission. Though this is not a request from humans. This request comes from us.

Heathcliff: From Master Snow and Master White?

White: Yes. We would like you to lend your hands to prepare for the festival in Cain’s hometown, making it all the merrier.

Snow: While we do take up requests, there are still people who fear wizards.

While: By providing assistance, we shall be able to build a better impression for wizards.

Everyone shows a variety of expressions in response to Snow and White’s request.

Rutile: That sounds really fun! If you’re fine with me, please let me be of help.

Riquet: I do not mind either. If we could take away people’s anguish, and deepen understanding between each other, then I shall do my best.

Heathcliff: But, can I really take on such an important mission?

Chloe: A festival does sound fun, but it makes me a little bit nervous….

White: Hohoho. Everyone reacts rather charmingly pure.

White joined hands with Heathcliff and Chloe, as if trying to soothe their nervousness.

White: Heathcliff, Chloe. There is no need to feel pressured.

White: Both of you are prudent. You are able to soothe others’ feelings, therefore you shall do well. We shall guarantee that.

Chloe: White….

Heathcliff: ...I understand. Please let me do my best as well.

Chloe: Yeah, I’ll do my best too. Thank you, White!

White: What good boys. I am certain this will be an experience of immeasurable worth.

Chloe: Cain, I might end up asking lots of things I don’t know, but will you let us help?

Cain: Of course! Thanks, everyone.

Cain smiled widely. I’m sure he’s happy for the help, but also because of everyone’s feelings.

Akira: Cain, can I help too?

Cain: Absolutely! It’s encouraging to have you come with us.

Snow: Hohoho. ‘Tis good to go on a peaceful mission for once. I do hope you enjoy yourselves to the fullest.

Snow: That aside, young wizards sure are full of courage, how adorable.

White: They do make me want to hug and eat them.

Riquet: E-eat? I do not think we are delicious….

Snow and White: I wonder? Kya kya!

Akira: (They’re like grandpas trying to frighten their grandchildren….)
