Because We are Different: Chapter 1
[Location: Hallway]
Akira: Hello, Mitile. You seem pretty excited, and with that tea set you’re holding... Are you having a tea party with someone?
Mitile: Hello, Master Sage. And yes, I am. Guess who I'll be having it with? Shino!
Akira: Oh? Shino?
Mitile: Yes! I invited him and he agreed immediately, so we’re having one in the lounge now!
Akira: Wow, I see. Have fun, you two!
Mitile: Thank you so much! See you later, Master Sage!
(Mitile leaves)
Akira: (I’m really glad to see that Mitile and Shino are getting along.)
Akira: (I was a little worried about them when they trained together in the past…)
Akira: I wonder how they’ve been doing since then. Maybe they’re having fun with their tea now.

I was concerned about the situation, so I decided to head into the lounge as Shino was about to walk out.
Shino: Yeah. See you, Mitile.

Akira: (They seem to be talking to each other normally, though…)
Akira: Um, Mitile. How was your tea with Shino?
Mitile: It was fun! I got to listen to lots of his stories.

Mitile: It’s not that… It’s more like we were talking past each other.
Mitile: I mean, the two of us were born in different countries and grew up in different environments, so when we spoke, I found that what’s natural for me isn’t always natural for Shino…

Mitile: Shino used to be rude to me, so I thought for sure the two of us wouldn’t get along…
Mitile: But then I thought about how amazing he is for being so capable on his own, even though he’s not that much older than me.
Mitile: I want to get to know him better. That’s why I asked him out to have tea with me, but it didn’t go very well…
Akira: Even if things didn’t work out the first time, I’m sure you were able to convey your feelings to Shino.
Mitile: Thank you so much, Master Sage… But how do I get to know him better?
Akira: Hmm, let’s see… How about we come up with a strategy?
Mitile: A strategy?
Akira: Yes, a plan for the two of you to get to know each other better. I’m sure we’ll be able to come up with some good ideas if we think about it together!

He mumbled to himself for a while, but then showed me his wide, lovely smile.
Mitile: I’m sure this happened because I became one of the Sage’s wizards and experienced so many things.
Mitile: I'm sure the old me struggled to accept others' genuine words or notice their feelings, but...
Mitile: All those missions and training sessions we've done together… They made me want to know more about everyone here in the manor, including Shino.
Akira: Mitile…

Akira: I’m glad to hear you say that, but I think all of that happened because of your hard work, for the most part.
Mitile: That’s not true. Even today, because of your advice, I realized something important.
Mitile: ...Ah, that’s right!
Mitile: I almost forgot the one thing that Shino likes the most.
Akira: That must be…
Mitile, Akira: Lemon pie!
Mitile: It might be a bit difficult to make, but I can ask Mister Nero for a recipe and try making it on my own.
Akira: Nice idea! I’m sure that will make Shino happy.

[Location: Kitchen, morning]
After asking Nero for the lemon pie recipe, we went to the kitchen and found that it was already occupied by an unexpected person.
Shino: What are you guys doing here? I’m using the kitchen right now, so come back later.
Mitile: Huh, wha…?! Shino, please don’t push me out!
Mitile: We want to use the kitchen too!
Shino: Doesn’t matter. Move faster.

Akira: (He looks serious; I wonder if he’s unhappy about something, or if he wants to bring up a heavy topic.)
Mitile: What I want to say is… that I’m grateful to you.
Akira: …Huh?
Mitile: I’ve had a lot of fun ever since I came to the manor, but I also experienced quite a lot of difficulties…
Mitile: And the ones who supported me during those times are Doctor Figaro, Riquet, and the others… And you, Master Sage.
Akira: Mitile…
Mitile: I’ve been able to overcome so many things because of you.
Mitile: Thank you so much for always helping me, Master Sage!
Akira: A-And thank you as well! I’m happy to know that I’ve been properly supportive of you.

Mitile: I want to be there to help you when you’re having difficulties, too, just like how you’ve always been there for me.

Mitile: Mister Bradley was really excited for the celebration today, saying that it should be as grand as the occasion. I think the reason I made friends with so many people is because of the many experiences I went through as one of the Sage’s Wizards. Thank you so much, Master Sage!
