Who’s The King?: Chapter 1
[Location: Hallway]
Murr: Heyya, Master Sage! Do you like fun things?
Akira: Hello, Murr. And yes, I do…?
Murr: Perfect! Let’s go, then! Don’t wanna be late to the party!
Akira: Huh, what party?
[Location: Dining hall, night]
Murr: I’m baaack~
Shylock: Oh?
Akira: Wow, there are fancy decorations all over the room! There’s a feast on the table, too…
Rustica: I see that a special guest has arrived.
Chloe: So you’re invited, too, Master Sage!
Akira: Invited? Are you all invited, too?
Figaro: Yeah. I have no idea what we’re celebrating, though.
Murr: Surrrprise!
(Party cracker goes off)
Murr: Welcome to my birthday party!
Akira: Huh!? Is today your birthday, Murr?
Murr: Yep! I organized it myself, so I gathered the somethings and someones I like and don’t like!
Akira: It’s so like you to prepare your own birthday party, Murr.
Figaro: I’ll let myself enjoy the occasion, then. Could I get a glass, Shylock?
Murr: Shylock, I want a sparkling glass of liquor!
Shylock: Fufu, the party has barely started, there’s no need to rush.
Shylock: I shall do my best to provide you all with cocktails befitting this celebratory day.
Rustica: By the way, have any of you happened to hear of the king’s game?
Murr: What’s that? What kind of game is it!?
Rustica: From what Prince Arthur told me: We need to prepare pieces of paper the same amount as the number of players, and write numbers on the papers. One of them we write “King” on it.
Rustica: Next, we all draw one piece of paper, without knowing what is written. The person who picks “King” is granted the power to give out an order of any kind.
Akira: (That’s the same king’s game I know! Arthur must’ve heard about it from the previous Sage...)
Murr: That’s new to me! I wanna play!
Shylock: An order of any kind? Fufu, that certainly is interesting.
Figaro: Sounds like the right game to accompany this tipsiness.
Chloe: I’ll get the papers and a pen!
Rustica: So, are you all ready?

[Location: Dining hall, night]
Murr: …Yay, I’m the next king!
Shylock: My, what a troublesome king we have this time.
Rustica: Fufu, a country where Murr reigns must be a pleasant one.
Chloe: Your Majesty, we humbly request your order!
Murr: Ahem! Person number five, you must now express your undying love to the object of your affection!
Figaro: Oh, that’s me. Haha… The object of my affection, huh? I guess that’d be liquor.
Figaro: It’s been by my side for as long as I can remember. I’ve lived for so long… and not once have I gotten bored of this ol’ guy.
Figaro: We spent time together just yesterday, but I can’t help but long for you again today… My night feels so bland without you.
Chloe: W-Why does hearing that from Figaro make me blush?
Figaro: Does this qualify for acceptance, Your Majesty?
Murr: Accepted! Next!
Figaro: …Oh, it’s finally my turn.

Akira: To the window. Murr, can you come over here?
Murr: Okie dokie!
Akira: I think around here will do… Yep. Murr, please take this platter and see what’s reflected on it.
Murr, surprised: ……
Chloe: Woah, it’s the moon!
Rustica: It’s very beautiful indeed.
Shylock: My… It’s as if the moon has been taken captive by the water.
Akira: Back in my world, there’s a cultural celebration where we drink alcohol while admiring the moon or flowers. I remembered it just now.
Figaro: The moon as a side dish to a drink? You really amaze me, Master Sage.

Akira: I’m glad you like it.

[Location: Night sky, full moon]
Murr: Master Sage, look! The Great Calamity is right there!
Akira: You’re right… Are you not afraid of the Great Calamity, Murr?
Murr: I am, though? It’s scary, it’s beautiful, it’s so dear to me… No matter how far out I reach, it’s never enough. Like this…
Akira: Wah! Please keep your hand on your broom!
Murr: Ahaha! Try it yourself, Master Sage! The wind feels good when you raise your hands!
Akira: W-Won’t we fall?
Murr: Hm? Maybe we will? But falling sounds fun! Wanna try?
Akira: No thank you let’s keep going!
Murr: Aww, shucks! But we’ve reached our destination, anyway!

Murr: Someone’s roof! We’ll land here!
(Murr and Akira land on rooftop)

Murr: I can gaze at the Great Calamity up close like this!
Akira: (So that’s why he asked me to go outside.)

Akira: …You really like the Great Calamity, don’t you, Murr?
Murr: I don’t like the Great Calamity. I love it, with all of my heart.1
Akira: Okay… So, there won’t be anyone that you could love more than the Great Calamity?

Akira: (His soul shattered after he tried getting close to the Great Calamity, yet he still loves and longs for it…)

Murr: If, in the future, I were to meet something that enchants me more than the moon could, then I want to live to see that day.
Akira: Huh?
Murr: Life is full of inevitable coincidences! A series of wonderful encounters!
Murr: That’s why we shouldn’t keep our eyes closed.
Murr: If you do, all you’re gonna see is endless darkness!
Murr: And that’s super boring! Life's gotta be full of thrill!
Akira: (Sometimes, Murr’s words strike me with awe…)
Akira: You’re right. I could’ve never imagined that I’d meet all of you.

Akira: Everyone was enjoying it more than I expected.
Murr: Where else can you be a king with just a pen and a paper? It’s the coolest game ever!
Murr: We should play it with everyone next time! The more the merrier!
Akira: I-I feel like there are some people that’ll be scary as a king…
Murr: Oh, it’ll be a big problem if Oz or Owen became the king! That’s super awesome!
Akira: (His eyes are gleaming!)
Murr: But if we’re gonna play again, I wanna be the king!
Akira: Then, King Murr, what would you order us to do?
Murr: Mm, I wonder?

Murr: You mean asking someone else to grant my number one wish?
Akira: Er… Uh, yeah, I guess that’s how it’ll be.
