Starry Sky Behind A White Lie: Chapter 1
[Location: Rheita mountains, day]
Akira: Mm! It's the smell of nature. The air is so clear in the Rheita mountains, it feels really nice to be here!
The reason I am at the Rheita mountains today is because of what happened a few hours earlier.
[Location: Manor's foyer]
"Master Sage must be exhausted by the amount of requests they must answer to," they say.
The wizards have been dealing with the requests so that I can take a full day off.
Akira: (I'm grateful for their concern, but not having any schedule somehow makes me restless…)
Akira: Hm? Are those the Southern wizards?
Mitile: Oh, good afternoon, Master Sage!
Akira: Good afternoon. Lennox, that's a lot of luggages. Are you going somewhere?
Lennox: Yes, to the Rheita mountains. A fellow shepherd asked for my help.
Rutile: We're sending Mr. Lennox off. Oh right, I also put some snacks in that lunch box, please eat it there.

Lennox: If the sprites were to hide things, it should be around here….
Akira: We’ve hiked quite far. I haven’t seen the bottle anywhere in our way….
[Location: Rheita mountains, night]
The stars shone ever so brilliantly as far as the eye can see. The unobstructed night sky was twinkling with lights, so much that it feels like it’ll fall any time soon.
Akira: Amazing…. I feel like I can reach the stars from here.
Lennox: You seem to like stars, Master Sage. I always had the impression that you are one to go stargazing even at the manor.
Akira: You’re right. But it’s different here; I’m high up the mountain, the air is so clear…. It’s a whole new experience to me.
Lennox: I’m happy to hear that, Master Sage.
Akira: Huh?
Lennox: Ah, nothing. I’ve found the water bottle. It was deep inside the bag, I must’ve missed it.
Akira: Oh, thank goodness!
Akira: (Could it be that Lennox did it on purpose so we can come up the mountains…?)
Akira: Thank you very much. The sky looks so beautiful. The stars look like they’ll fall.
Lennox: Yes, indeed.
Akira: In this world, the sky is full of stars at night, so I can’t help but have my breath taken away.
Akira: Oh, that group of stars looks like the Orion constellation. It’s a constellation from my world, can you see it?
Lennox: Yes, I see it. It’s so bright and beautiful.

Akira and Lennox: Oh, a shooting star.

Lennox: Indeed, we have many similar thoughts today. That aside, the star fell so quickly we have no time to make a wish.
Akira: It fell in the blink of an eye. Even so, seeing a shooting star is also a sign of luck.
Lennox: I think so too…. Today was a good day.
Lennox: Let’s take our time stargazing on our way home. The stars might just look even more brilliant up closer from the broom.
Lennox: Let us enjoy everything until the end, Master Sage.

Akira: There really are many places in the Southern country where you can relax.
Lennox: Yes. It is the most suitable when you want to take a breather.
Akira: If you were to have a day off together with the Southern wizards, where would you go? Would you go to the Southern country?
Lennox: Let's see…. For me and Dr. Figaro, we might go there as it's a place we're familiar with.
Lennox: As for the young Rutile and Mitile, a place like the Central capital might just be their place of choice.
Akira: (Now that he mentioned it, Rutile and Mitile are way younger than Lennox….)
Lennox: Ultimately, I think everyone would go to the Southern country. It really is a peaceful place to the heart.
Akira: I see. An exciting place like the capital sounds fun, but I understand the charm of a peaceful place where you can spend your time at ease.
Akira: And the Southern people are all really friendly.
Lennox; Yes. They all treat us open-heartedly, so it always feels like coming back to our hometown.
Akira: Hometown…. It has a warm ring to it, sounds nice….
