A Service To Put Your Heart at Ease: Chapter 1
[Location: Akira’s room, day]
Heathcliff: Master Sage, may I have your time?
Akira: Heath? Please come in, the door’s unlocked.
(door opens)
Heathcliff: Excuse me for the sudden intrusion. Today I’m going back to the Blanchett castle and will return before the day ends. I just thought I’d let you know before I go.
Akira: Huh? Is there a problem at the Blanchett castle?
Heathcliff: It’s nothing of an emergency. Um, the manufacturer in our workshop told me that they made a new marionette clock….
Heathcliff: I thought I’d come over and see what they made. I’m sorry it’s for a personal reason.
Akira: I’m glad that it’s for something fun. Will Shino go with you?
Heathcliff: No. Shino seemed eager to train together with the Central wizards, so I’m thinking of leaving a note behind.
Akira: I see. ...Ah, if it’s alright with you, Heath, may I go with you?
Heathcliff: I certainly do not mind, but it’s your day off. I don’t know if it’s okay to have you be with me….
Akira: Of course it’s okay. To be honest, I was wondering how I should spend the day, now that I have no work to do.
My day off today is a reward from the wizards.
I want to use this chance to do something I don’t usually get to do. If Heathcliff would let me go with him, I’d be glad.
Heathcliff: ...If that is the case, then by all means. I shall show you around the workshop.
[Location: Blanchett castle, day]
Akira: That was a really delicate marionette clock! I don’t know much about them, but I still find it really beautiful and fascinating….
Heathcliff: Indeed, and they say they made it all by hand, part after part….
Heathcliff: I’m really proud of the Blanchett manufacturer for producing an amazing work.
Servant: Excuse me, Young Master. May I have a moment?
Heathcliff: Yes, just a minute. Please excuse me, Master Sage. I will return soon.
Akira: Yes, I’ll be waiting on the bench over there.
Akira: The Blanchett’s technology is so advanced…. I’m glad I asked Heath to bring me along.
Butler: Excuse me, Master Sage. May I have a moment?
Akira: Oh yes, what is it?
Butler: You have come all the way here, thus we would like to offer you a tea ceremony, if your schedule allows.
A Service To Put Your Heart at Ease: Chapter 2
[Location: Blanchett castle, day]
Akira: A tea? Thank you very much, please let me take up on your offer.
Butler: Very well. We shall bring only the best cup of tea for you to enjoy, Master Sage.
After the butler politely stepped aside, the reverent servants behind him came to the front as if they had practiced the timing.
Handmaiden: How would you find a tour around the Blanchett castle after the tea ceremony, Master Sage?
Servant: Master Sage, I shall take care of your coat. Shall I polish your shoes as well?
Akira: Huh? Uhm, I’m fine, thank you.I’m grateful for the offer, but I’m already interfering with your work….
Akira: (I’m glad they welcome me, but everything’s too proper that I’m nervous…!)
(sounds of steps)
Heathcliff: I’m sorry to have made you wait, Master Sage.
Akira: Ah, Heath….
Heathcliff: Master Sage is to visit my room after this. Can I have the tea and treats be brought to my room instead?
Butler: Oh, so that was the plan. Understood. We will be bringing everything to your room after the preparation is finished, Young Master.
Heathcliff: I’ll leave it to you, then. Master Sage, shall we go?
[Location: Heathcliff’s room]
(door opens)
Heathcliff: Please come in.
Akira: Thank you.
Heathcliff: ...I’m sorry for bringing you to my room without telling you in advance.
Heathcliff: I thought you’d feel more at ease here…. I hope I don’t make you feel uncomfortable.
Akira: (I see. Heath is making sure I get to spend my day off leisurely.... He’s really kind.)
Akira: I’m far from uncomfortable. Besides, the people at the castle welcomed me, so I’m glad.
Heathcliff: Then I am, too.
Heathcliff: I’m sure the servants meant no harm, just that they whole-heartedly wanted to treat you with a service.
Heathcliff let out a small sigh, and loosened his cheeks as if he’s relieved.
Heathcliff: ...Ah, it’s already this hour. I’m sorry to have you keep me company for such a long time, even though it’s your day off….
Heathcliff: Let us return to the manor after resting a while here.
Akira: Alright. ...Hm? Outside….
(raining)
Heathcliff: It seems like it’s raining outside, despite the weather being so clear up until now….
A Service To Put Your Heart at Ease: Chapter 3
[Location: Heathcliff’s room, raining]
Heathcliff: ...What a calming and soothing sound….
Lending his ear to the raindrops gently knocking at the window, Heathcliff gently closed his eyes.
I feel pleasant just by looking at him who is like a child dozing off from a lullaby.
Akira: (Oh right, Heath mentioned that he likes the twilight and the sound of the rain.)
Heathcliff: Ah, I hate to say it, but it looks like there will be some trouble on our way home. We must prepare for an umbrella big enough to shelter us from the rain….
Akira: Um, if it is alright with you, we could take it easy and stay here for a while longer.
Heathcliff: Uhm, but….
Akira: Heath, you said that I’m the one keeping you company. But today, I was the one who asked if I could come with you.
Akira: Aside from that, I had a good, refreshing time here in the Blanchett castle. Thank you very much for accompanying me.
Heathcliff: Master Sage…. ...Then, in that case—
(knocking sounds)
???: Hey, open up.
Akira: Hm? Someone’s at the window?
(sound of window opening)
Shino: My bad, I’m late.
Heathcliff: Shino! Why did you come here? Weren”t you training with the Central wizards?
Shino: I came here ‘cause we were done. You left me a note, I took that as you wanting me to come join you.
Heathcliff: I never said for you to come join us. You were just done training, you should have some rest….
Shino: Then, what’s that note for?
Akira: Now, now….
Shino: Sage, you have some good eyes to choose the Blanchett castle to spend your day off. When the rain stops, I’ll show you around the garden.
Shino: There’s a flower that only blooms around this time. If we go before the sun sets, it’s nothing dangerous. What d’you say, Heath?
Heathcliff: ...Yeah, I agree.
Shino: ...I didn’t expect that. I thought you’d tell me off, and not to impose on the Sage.
Heathcliff: You’re probably right, but….
Heathcliff: Actually, I was just thinking of the same thing as you.
Akira: Heath….
Heathcliff: Master Sage, the Blanchett castle is a nice place where you can put your heart at ease.
Heathcliff: If it is alright with you, will you give us a few hours of your time?
Heathcliff: We will show you around, and make sure your day off is a day well-spent.
Akira: Of course! I think today will only get better, thanks to you and Shino.
Heathcliff: I’m glad….
Shino: There’s nothing to do while we wait for the rain to stop. Ah….
(sound of stomach grumbling)
Shino: I just remembered I missed lunch since I was training all day.
Heathcliff: Oh, good timing. I requested the servants to bring the tea and treats to my room. Let’s have that before we go.
After Shino proposed his idea, Heathcliff turned around to me. The orange sunset glow reflected on his eyes, and he smiled somewhat bashfully.
Heathcliff: We hope you would enjoy your time of leisure a little longer here with us, Master Sage.
Card Episode: Until It’s Your Day Off
[Location: Manor courtyard, day]
Akira: Thank you very much for spending my other day off together with me, Heath. I feel more refreshed now.
Akira: It was my day off, but if it was yours, what would you do to spend it?
Heathcliff: Hmm, it probably depends on other schedules I have, but I will most likely go back to the Blanchett castle.
Heathcliff: I’m sure my parents are worried about me, so whenever I have the chance, I would like to see them.
Heathcliff: In addition to that, both me and Shino still have works to do at the Blanchetts….
Akira: T-that’s not a day off! You should take a break from your aristocrat work, and Shino from his forest guide work.
Heathcliff: I suppose you’re right, though we can’t help but be concerned about it….
Akira: I guess that’s just like the both of you, having a high sense of responsibility. At least, please don’t overwork yourself.
Heathcliff: Thank you very much. But if I were to have the day completely off, I think I will be in the workshop all day….
Heathcliff: If it’s alright with you…. Please come to see our workshop again, Master Sage.
Heathcliff: I can show you around, if you’d like. There are still many devices with interesting structure that I haven’t shown you yet.
Akira: I’d love to! I’ll be looking forward to it!

Heathcliff: I was never good with a place where many people gather, like a party…. But Shino would accompany me at times, and even though it makes me anxious, I feel reassured at the same time. When you attend a party, let me support you, Master Sage.
