Have you ever wondered how people go nyoom on events, reaching the 6.35M point mark? Your mind blown because other players finish events in just 4 days? 3 days? 2 days? Even in roughly 24 hours? Yeah, me too. I tried figuring it out and this guide is the outcome.

(This is written for players who have been playing the game for a while and are looking to be more advanced. Also might be useful for players who are struggling to collect event rewards.)

DISCLAIMER: This can look more like “how I do mhyk events” than a professional(?) guide. Or “things I wish I knew about event-ing in mhyk,” alternatively. And also just a personal note because I'm going nuts on how people finish events in 1-2 days. I'm afraid that this guide is not beginner friendly (you can still throw us an ask through CuriousCat linked at the bottom!). That said, you may keep reading/bookmark for a later time!

This event-ing guide contains two more guides that you probably need to read, except if you already have an idea how they work. Here we go!

These are the (obvious) factors that contribute to faster event points farming:

1. The amount of MP you need to beat an advanced (上級) and ultra (超級) level calamity.
This corresponds to the amount of time you need to replenish enough MP to beat them. Because if you run out of MP, you’ll have to stop training (ひと休み to take a break in the settings/メニュー) or you’ll risk running out of time to engage with the calamity and lower your calamity level (of course that doesn’t matter if you have MP potions to spend, but how many of that do we have, really? And personally, I'd rather use my mana stones to pull in gacha/expand storage).

2. The amount of event points bonus percentage you have on your event chibi (ranges from 3%-65%).
In the ideal scenario where you get to fight a level 15 ultra calamity after a level 20 advanced level, if you have 65% bonus, you can get 110K points with 2 or 3 MP. Even if you don't use MP potions, that's 220K-330K points in one hour if you get it back to back.

Actually, RNG also plays a factor here (it determines how often you get an advanced/ultra level calamity), but we cannot control that so we can only pray to get them as often as possible TvT

Let's try tackling the first point. How many MP does it cost you to beat a lv 20 advanced calamity? If it takes you 2 MP to beat it, and 3 MP to beat a lv 15 ultra calamity, then your chibi team is already strong enough (around 92K total parameters and above). The easiest place to get a high parameter chibi is by training in Granvelle Castle, using cards with Great Success skills and parameter bonuses. Set a daily goal of points, and you can finish just in time with 63%-65% bonus.

There are many guides you can use to make All999 chibi: Granvelle Castle | Bar Bennett | Cavern of Time

if you feel that it still takes too much time to wait for the MP bar to refill, then you may want to try forming a 1MP team to beat more calamity in a lesser time. For your convenience (and also my personal note), I have put together a guide on how to form a 1MP team here.

If you've successfully made the 1MP team (or at least strengthening your team to 90K+ power!), then the first point is pretty much solved. We saved time with a more powerful team.

Onto the next point: "How can I get more than 15% bonus without getting the event gacha cards?" You can use the reward cards and make chibi every few cards you get. R rewards give 2% every card, and SR rewards give 5% every card. Fully uncap them and it’ll give you a 18% and 30% bonus respectively (6 cards*2%, or 6 cards*5%).

But getting the last SR reward card will take so much time with only 15% bonus! I want to go nyoom!” Exactly. This is the time for you to use those bronze petals. Here is another I put together guide to get that 65% bonus as early as you can, using 4-5 of your R reward cards and 20-25 bronze petals. Obviously if you're rolling the gacha it's better to use those cards as they give bigger bonus for each copy. Note again that for anniversary events, there is no other choice to earn bonuses other than pulling the gacha. You may want to prepare 4-5 gold petals in case you get 1 copy of anyone. Otherwise, it's still doable to reach 6.35M points with 15% (I finished during the 6th day of the 2nd anniversary event).

A strong chibi team, and 61%-65% event point bonus. This should be enough to get you to finish an event before it ends. Yay!

Miscellaneous tips on grinding:

A tip from Twitter user tatatata_d: grind for event points the Lonely party way! When training SPECIFICALLY to grind for event points, location episodes, obtaining partner traits and partner skill activations can take time. By leaving the rest of the party member slots empty, and bringing an R card of a wizard that's not from the corresponding country of the training spot, you’ll be able to save time!

(Training in Central country spots. I'm so sorry Chloe.)

If you're going manual, you can just tap at the rest/休む button all the time during training and calamities will still pop up, but going auto is totally fine! I wrote some tips on auto settings during event here. Yeah, it’s not 100% auto. You still have to tap a few things, mainly when you encounter the calamity and when the training has reached its end in 4 parts. But that doesn’t change the fact that it saves you time and energy, so why not?

Use your MP potions, the ones that have an expiration date under them. Using a big MP potion (gives 5 MP) will instantly stop your MP refill timer, so use them wisely. The big potion is best used as soon as an MP is replenished. If the timer is already at 3 or 2 minutes, it's best to just wait before using the potion. During normal event period, the limited MP potions should be enough. You can save the permanent ones for the revival-by-choice event period.

I’ve tried doing this during the Central Rhapsody event, and I can say it’s pretty effective. I finished the event on the 4th day mark. This is a big improvement for me who used to grind the entire event period to get to 6.35M.... So, hooray for easier event-ing!

(Update after 2021 Summer event) During seasonal events where the R cards are on higher points mark, I would suggest going with only the advanced calamity, and finish event missions after getting the gold petal. Actually I suggest this even for permanent events but I'm forgetful so I finish them early... ahah.... Also, with piece gacha/bingo type events, some of the important rewards are only obtainable through the piece gacha/bingo mechanics. I recommend grinding the gacha items in Sherwood Forest and Granvelle Castle for auto-training, and Town of Bubbles if you're playing manually.

If you have some days left during the event, it might be best to farm some materials back, particularly the 5-leaf clovers, crystal powders, bronze petals, blue biscuits, and chibi growth points. Also you might want to take notes on which cards you own are best to create certain chibi, since card decks are different for everyone.

SUMMARY:

Preparation step, before event: make event chibi. Strengthen your team. Farm necessary materials (blue biscuits, bronze petals, crystal powders, 5-leaf clovers). Or revamping your team after research on event traits and skills.

D-Day: get the R reward cards, make new event chibi, go bonkers.

Thank you for reading, I hope this helps. I spent time writing this post and I'm excited to share it, so I would appreciate it if you let me know when you find it helpful. Don't forget that these tips are mostly thanks to panda_4969!

EXTRA:
As of the 1.5 anniversary, we are introduced to revival-by-choice events. These events are short, and the maximum point you can get is 2.5M per event. Of course this means you cannot have ALL of the rewards that were offered during the original event. It's even more hellish when you don't have the gacha event cards (me). You may want to try the same methods mentioned above. EDIT: In this event revival period, they don't give many limited MP potions. This can be the time to use the permanent MP potions you saved! You get 1MP by finishing dailies, and for 3MP & 5MP potions, you can buy them in the item store with the yens or sugar.
